This performance will highlight some of the songwriters that comprise RME's Songwriters Round Table. Songwriters Round Table is a group that meets every month at RME to workshop songs and discuss the art of songwriting in a supportive and constructive way. This will be an in-the-round show format, where all performers will share the stage and take turns performing, similar to that of the monthly workshop. The performers for this evening will be:
Jenny has been writing music for just over 15 years, in genres of Americana, Folk, Pop, Country, and Rock.
Logan began playing guitar relatively late in life when there just happened to be a crappy acoustic laying around a shared apartment. Not knowing how to play anyone else’s songs, he figured it would just be easier to write his own. Logan finds inspiration from his early life in a small Central Illinois town and the characters surrounding his large extended farming family, as well as his early 20’s and 30’s bouncing around the country collecting memories. After recently moving his young family back to the Quad Cities, and with the persistent urging of his wife, he finally feels its time to let his stories out of the basement and into the light.
Retired Davenport Fire Fighter. Cartoonist for The North Scott Press. Freelance commercial artist. Articles published in The BMW Motorcycle Owners international magazine. Single parent whose daughter has a master's degree in English as a Second Language/Non-Profit Management. Picking guitar seriously for six years and appears at open mic nights in the Quad-City area.
David G Smith
David is a solo artist whose music ranges from dirt funk to intimate. His troubadour resume includes 20 years on the road; US radio play & tv appearances; 6 albums released in as many years, the next to feature an appearance by Grammy winner, Keb Mo!
Rich & Vicki Ingle
Vicki and Rich began performing together as Comfort Food three weeks after they met in 2005. They have performed primarily in the Chicago area but have also done shows in Sault Sainte Marie, Cleveland, Lexington, KY and other out of town venues. In 2010 they released their first self titled CD which was issued on the Wind River label out of Naperville, IL. After making the jump from coffeehouses to house concerts and concert series, in 2015 recorded their second CD for Wind River titled Double Helpings (a 2 CD set). Their live performances were often featured on WDCB radio in Glen Ellyn, IL where they continue to get airplay. They have also gotten airplay on WFMT's Midnight Special hosted by Rich Warren. They moved to Davenport this past summer to be closer to Vicki's family and look forward to more music making in the Quad Cities.
