Meet the Instructors
Chris Noth - Guitar Instructor
Chris began playing mandolin at age 8, then the guitar at age 10, both private instruction and help from a neighbor. Earliest band and gigging was Natty Scratch band in the 70's,later touring and recording in Ga. and Fla. with other bands, then returned to the QC in 1991 to help start Mr. Whoopie band. A guitar instructor at the RME since 2009, Chris enjoys teaching his students and occasionally performing live lunch or live at 5 at RME.
Richard Wilcox – Violin Instructor
Richard Wilcox attended the University of Iowa and received a degree in Music with a concentration in violin performance. Richard spent time in Chicago performing with top-notch musicians including Sugar Blue (of Rolling Stones fame, and working with Buddy Miles (of Jimi Hendrix’s band). After returning home to Davenport, the Mississippi Voodoo band became the main force in honing vocal and front man skills. He has also worked with Chicago blues harpist, Billy Branch, for the Mississippi Valley Blues Society, “Blues in the Schools” tours. Since 2007, he's performed with Kent Burnside and the New Generation, The Justin Morrissey band, The Fry Daddies, and has played at major festivals and clubs throughout the country.
