Saturday, March 06, 2021 7:30 PM
Redstone Room
Ticket Price: $10 adv / $12 day of show

Unfortunately, 3 Years Hollow & Alborn, scheduled for March 6, 2021, has been cancelled. Here's some essential information you may need to know about this change.
Changes to this event
While we were hopeful to host this show in March 2021 after several rescheduled dates due to the ongoing pandemic, these times are still uncertain on when it will be safe to bring bands and fans together again, and decided that at this point we'd like to go ahead an issue refunds for this performance rather than holding on to your money for another year. We are still working with 3 Years Hollow to bring them back to the Redstone Room as soon as it's safe to do so, so please keep checking River Music Experience's website and social media platforms for future show confirmations.
Getting a refund
If you've purchased your tickets via the Eventbrite platform with a credit or debit card, your tickets will automatically be refunded shortly and your accounts credited within 7-10 business days.

If you purchased your tickets at the RME box office with cash, check, or gift certificate, please contact Kate about receiving your refund or credit at

If you purchased your tickets at the RME box office but paid with a credit or debit card, your order should automatically be refunded. If you purchased your tickets at Co-Op Records in Moline (IL), please return to their store with your hard tickets to relieve a refund.

If you purchased your tickets directly from the band or their management, please reach out to them to receive your refund.

While tickets are automatically being refunded, the live music industry is currently struggling from being shut down most of the year. If you are planning some year-end giving and would like to make a donation to help keep our musical mission going, please visit

Alborn has already drawn the attention of Morgan Rose of Sevendust and Jose Urquiza of 3 Years Hollow, and they're just getting started.

Formed in 2016, Northern Illinois based alternative metal band Alborn is comprised of Justin Taylor [guitar/vocals], Alex Raser [Drums/vocals], Zame Lewis [bass] and Tyler Mendenhall [guitar]. Their sound has been compared to Deftones or a heavier version of Alice in Chains.  But, make no mistake, Alborn has created something hard, melodic and unique.
As a startup, Alborn worked on their live show. This work resulted in winning multiple Battle of the Bands competitions locally. For one of those, the grand prize was a studio session with Jose Urquiza. As part of that session, another opportunity surfaced. Morgan Rose of Sevendust was interested in working with Alborn and producing them.

As a result, the band spent the end of 2018 tracking 10 songs with Jose and Morgan. The band released the first, Full Circle, in October of 2018. It drew immediate attention locally and regionally. The song was immediately featured on 97X WXLP in the Quad Cities, including a live on-air performance.
Plans for the remaining singles are in place and will be released in 2019.
Hold on to your hats. Alborn is coming.

Burden Of The Sky is an American Alternative Hard Rock/Metal band from Illinois. The band was born in 2012, a project of Brad Shaw and Josh Appel. “Cinis Ad Cinis”, the group’s debut album, came to light in 2017 and pushed the band into the public eye. The album was driven by lead single “Same Old Page”, which has been streamed worldwide over 800,000 times.
The debut album and new single “Sirens” were produced, mixed and mastered by award winning Nashville Producer/Engineer Colt Capperrune of Dark River Studios. Says Capperrune, “Working on an album like "Cinis ad Cinis" makes my job as a producer easy. The songs were extremely strong just the way the band brought them to me.”
In 2018, the band has been reborn. Still lead by Shaw and Appel on guitars, as well as keyboardist Michael Mahoney, bassist Dustin Tritsch, and drummer Rick Streeter, they move forward with new singer/songwriter Scottie James (Aterra Tale). Infused with new life, the band has moved forward with new material and look forward to their sophomore release in 2019.
